Edwin M. Clagett, Jr.

Edwin M. Clagett, Jr. 81 of Springfield passed away March 15, 2016 in Oakwood Village. He was born in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Edwin and Thelma Clagett, Sr. Edwin enjoyed camping so much that he volunteered at Buck Creek State Park and the Smokey Mountains. Edwin was a tool and die maker for over 50 years and was very proud of the fact that he only drew unemployment for one week during his career. He was preceded in death by his parents; son David Wayne Clagett and daughter Catherine Ann Snyder. Survivors include his wife of 62 years Levedah Clagett; daughter Karen (James) Strait; son Mike Clagett; sister Phyllis Gearhart; grandchildren Michelle (Andy), Chad (Trisha), Tony, Rachael, Jennifer and Sean; great-grandchildren Elia, Mia, Logan, Josephine and Carson. Services to honor Edwin will be Saturday at Noon in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME with Pastor William Hossler officiating. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 10:00AM.
