Edward Young

Edward Young, 81, of Springfield passed away Friday, February 3, 2017 in Villa of Springfield. He was born January 4, 1936 in Ary, KY the son of the late Robert and Zola (Williams) Young, and served in the United States Marine Corps in Korea. He worked thirty-five years for Coca Cola, where he was loved and respected by his co-workers. Edward was a longtime member of Forest Valley Free Will Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Superintendent, and more recently belonged to First Free Will Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Estella F. (Morgan) Young, with whom he celebrated fifty-nine years of marriage on November 8, 2016; two daughters Pamela Sue (Roger) Picklesimer of Meridian, ID, and Renee’ L. Young of Springfield; a brother Dennis (Bessie) Young of Enon; a sister Beulah (Clayton) Fugate of Springfield; three grandsons Matthew (Michelle), Isaiah and Caleb Picklesimer; two great grandsons Bridges and Rivers Picklesimer; many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 -11 AM. in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. The service to honor Edward’s life will be Saturday at 11:00 AM. in the Memorial Home with Pastor Mark Rucker officiating. Burial will follow in Enon Cemetery.
