DWIGHT NIPPERT
Dwight has drowned his last fishing worm and has quit trying for that hole in one in golf. He was a methodical man. It was just not the methods that most people used but that is what made him "our Dwight". Boyd Nippert and Anne Kroeger Nippert had Dwight on March 13, 1947 in New Philadelphia, Ohio. He enjoyed working outside as his childhood was spent on the turkey farm just outside of New Carlisle. Dwight graduated from Tecumseh High School, class of 1965 and loved the small group from his class that got together for dinner from time to time. After graduation he had several jobs before joining the Air Force. It was during the Viet Nam era but thankfully he was assigned to Korea. When his 4 years were over and he was back home he was hired by Ohio Edison as a lineman. He loved the work and all the people he worked with. Dwight is survived by his wife of 18 years, Barbara, son Scott (Julie), daughter Stephanie (Bryon) Burton, brother Rod (Linda), sister Janne (Matt) Ferguson, stepdaughters Carla Foster, Dawn (Brandon) Chance, Bambi (Haley) Powell, aunts, uncles, cousins, numerous nieces and nephews. Dwight enjoyed his 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and his spoiled doggie, Gretchen. Besides his parents he will have joined in heaven his son, Sean, grandsons Anthony and Benjamin, granddaughter Kaitlyn and his wonder doggie, Lady. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, September 3, 2 o'clock at the Church of the Brethren, New Carlisle. His family would like to thank everyone for their prayers, kind thoughts and gestures and the doctors and nurses that treated his cancer. In lieu of flowers, please give a donation to your favorite charity or have a beer and a round of golf in memory of Dwight. Arrangements by the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to www.trostelchapman.com
