Donald G. Ream, 88, of Springfield passed away Friday, February 10, 2017 in the Ohio Masonic Home after a brief serious illness. He was born May 9, 1928 in Springfield the son of Donald George and Dorothy A. (Klee) Ream. He graduated from Springfield High School in 1946 and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. Don retired from the Springfield News-Sun as a pressman and had served as Secretary of the Pressman’s Union. He was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church, serving on the Church Council; also a member of Anthony Lodge #455 F. & A.M., and a Life member of the DAV. Don was recognized as a dedicated volunteer of the National Museum of the United States Air Force, participated in Honor Flight (which was very meaningful to him) and was an avid supporter of the Springfield Symphony Orchestra and Summer Arts Festival. He is survived by his wife of sixty-six years, Nancy J. (Meiling) Ream; three daughters and two sons-in-law Kristine Kolbinskie of Jacksonville, Fl, Kimberly and Ed Williamson, and Kari and David Demmien, all of Springfield; four grandchildren Mitchel (Jaylene) Williamson of Canyon, TX, Destiney (Joe Hillard) Demmien of South Charleston, Russel (Emily) Williamson of Clintonville, OH and Jennifer (Clint) Jones of Marina Del Ray, CA; seven great grandchildren Joshua, Rebekah and Ezra of Canyon, TX, Jayden, Lydia Faith and Brylee of South Charleston, and Annie Christine of Clintonville, OH. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 4:30 PM. in Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Roger Herrig and his grandson Rev. Mitchel Williamson officiating. Masonic services and Military Honors will follow. Memorial contributions may be made in Don’s name to Friends of the Air Force Museum/ Air Force Museum Foundation Inc., P.O.
