Donald Lee Nuckles

Donald Lee Nuckles, 74, of Evans, Georgia, formerly of Tipp City, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. He was born February 10, 1949, in Troy, Ohio, the son of the late Alex and Edith Nuckles. Before retirement Don worked as a heavy equipment operator. Don was a big Ohio State fan. He enthusiastically watched all the games while wearing his Ohio State shirt with his Buckeye Pillow, throw, and flags nearby. At his home in Georgia, where he lived on a golf course, he enjoyed watching the golfers and collecting golf balls every day. Don was looking forward to the birth of his first great-grandson in July of 2023. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Kathryn Nuckles; sons Duane (Shennell) Nuckles and Daniel Nuckles; daughters Stephanie Du-Preez and Marlo (Ron) Kreitzer; ten grandchildren; sister Geneva Turner; numerous nieces and nephews. Don is preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 18, 2023, from 10am-11am with the service to honor Don beginning at 11:00am at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home, New Carlisle, OH.
