Dolores I. Kouse

Dolores I. Kouse, 85, of Springfield peacefully passed away Friday, August 18, 2017 in Essex of Springfield. She was born August 4, 1932 in Xenia the daughter of Sherman and Lucille (Huff) Vorhees. Dolores was a graduate of Springfield High School and lived in Champaign County in her later years. She worked as an STNA in several nursing homes, including Essex of Springfield, did private home care nursing, and retired from Green Hills Care Center in West Liberty. Dolores also enjoyed crocheting. She is survived by five children Mike (Neni) Kouse of Springfield, Greg (Debbie) Kouse of Bellefontaine, Karen (Ralph) Ranard of Enon, Ronda (Kevin) Shank of New Carlisle and Lorraine (Mark) Skinner of Woodstock, OH; one sister Shirley Kinzer of Springfield; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son Dennis Kouse. The family would like to express special thanks to Kellee Heldman. Visitation will be Monday from 6 – 8 PM. in RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME.
