Diana Benson, 76, of Park Layne, passed away on August 21, 2024. She was born January 2, 1948, in Piqua, OH, the daughter of the late Alva and Dorothy Supinger. Diana graduated from Troy Adult High School in 1977 and then continued raising her family.  Later she continued her education attending and then graduating from Edison State Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Human Services in 1988.  She went on to have a career in that field working as a case manager for a private adoption agency for 6 years before moving on to working with Seniors.  She spent 8 years working as a geriatric case manager for Miami County Mental Health, 5 years as Executive Director of Troy Senior Center and then the next 15 years as Resident Services Coordinator at Liberty Commons in Tipp City, Ohio.  During her career working with Seniors she created a presentation called “Civility, A Lost Art” which would later be published in Dr. Robin Bonifas’ book, “Bullying Among Older Adults”.  She was an avid gamer and often beta tested PC games.  She loved her children and grandchildren and especially loved her great grandchildren and she will be sorely missed by her family, friends, co-workers and peers in her field.  She is preceded in death by her husband Arthur Benson; sons James Benson and Matthew Baker; and daughter Shelly Coates.
