Destry Myles Fishel age 57 of Springfield passed away on Monday, September 27, 2021 while surrounded by his loving family. He was born the son of Myles Gale & Ellen (Kelly) Fishel on July 16, 1964 in Kalispell, Montana. He is preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law Foster Mowen; mother in law Ann Mowen. Destry is survived by his loving wife Georgia Fishel of 36 years; son Zachary (Brittany) Fishel of Huber Heights; daughter Aynsley (Megan) Fishel of Columbus; Pop Pop’s pride and joy the twins, grandchildren Grayson, & Jaxson; brother Darrin (Tanya) Fishel; brother and sister-in-law Tania (Chris) Leonardo, & Tara (Linda) Huff; dog & companion Zoey; many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family in Montana. Destry was a proud member of the United States Airforce serving his country from 1983-1987. More recently he retired from Honda where he worked as a safety engineer. Destry was a sports fan, & he enjoyed rooting for the New York Yankees, Oakland Raiders, & The Ohio State Buckeyes. As much as he enjoyed watching sports, he had another calling coaching the youth of our community. Destry coached football for the Charging Rams & later was also an assistant football coach for the Shawnee Braves. Destry was a loving husband, father, pop pop, & friend.
