Daniel "Dan" Brian Troth

Daniel "Dan" Brian Troth, 67, of New Carlisle, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2021. He was born August 4, 1954, in Dayton, the son of the late Glenn and Betty Troth. Dan was a man of faith and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where he played guitar with the ensemble at Masses for many years. He enjoyed working with wood, building, repairing and creating things. Dan was a kind and generous man with a heart of gold. He loved gathering with friends and families, sitting around a campfire playing guitar and singing. He is survived by his wife Janet (Shimko/Frasure) Troth; children Terra Troth, Jessica (Shannon) McMichael and Richard Frasure; sister Pamela Ireland; grandchildren Cadence Collins and Aedan McMichael; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Dan is preceded in death by his parents and step-son Philip "Pete" Frasure. Visitation will be held Friday, October 15, 2021, from 9-10 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Carlisle, with aMass of Christian Burial beginning 10:00 am. Arrangements have been entrusted to Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home.Burial of Dan’s cremated remains will be held at a later date in Guitonville, PA.
