Daniel W. Tolbert

Daniel W. Tolbert, 81, of New Carlisle went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 16, 2022. He was born June 18, 1940 in Orleans, IN, the son of the late Donald and Lucille Tolbert.

Daniel was a US Army Veteran and later retired after 35 years working as a pipe fitter/welder for UA Local 162.  He was an active member of Grace Community Church where he also played guitar as part of the worship team.  Dan was always quick-witted and teasing while serving and helping others in need.  Dan was nicknamed “Rock” which was fitting as he always showed an unwavering love for the Lord Jesus and his family. He loved being in his building creating belt buckles and knives as gifts for special people.

Dan is survived by his wife of 57 years, Donna J. Tolbert; children Annette (Mickey) Acquafredda, Penny (Chris) Davis, Pam (Tim) Farmer and Daniel W. (Anita) Tolbert II; brother Robert (Tonda) Tolbert; grandchildren Keith Bonetti, Gary Nickell, Jr., Ron (Kristen) Picard, and Kat Tolbert; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Patricia Kay Mansmann. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, June 24, at Grace Community Church, 5001 Fishburg Road, Huber Heights.  Visitation will be held from 3-5p.m., followed by the service at 5 p.m.  Dinner will follow.  Service will be officiated by Josh Nelson.

Internment will be at a later date at Dayton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Community Church.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.trostelchapman.com .
