Connie Sue Holliday, 72, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2022. She was born October 28, 1949, in Portsmouth, OH, the daughter of the late Walter and Evelyn Mershon. She was a past member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. Connie was a past manager of Lee’s Famous Recipe in New Carlisle and Skyline Chili in Fairborn. She is survived by her husband of 42 years Charles "Ed" Holliday, Jr.; children Charles "Eddie" (Ann) Holliday III, Derek (Heather) Duffer, Andy (Debbie) Holliday and Stephanie Holliday; sister Pat Swords; grandchildren Brittany Duffer, Claire Holliday, Natalie Holliday, Gage Easterling, Jarrett Firman, Isabel Holliday, Jessica Holliday, Payton Holliday, Carson Easterling and Christian Holliday; several nieces and nephews. Connie is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Wally, Jr., Tim and Terry Mershon; sisters Dottie Brigner and Anita Mershon. Visitation will be held Monday, March 21, 2022, from 2:00-2:30pm at Rose Hill Chapel with the service to honor Connie beginning at 2:30pm in the chapel. Arrangements have been entrusted to Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.trostelchapman.com.
