Clyde Burton, 93, of New Carlisle, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2024. He was born on December 8, 1930, in Blue Diamond, Kentucky to the late Arnie & Vinia Burton. Clyde was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean War. He worked for Ledex and Howard Paper Mill as a machinist. Clyde was a lifetime member of the VFW, and the NRA. He was a gunsmith and an avid collector. Clyde enjoyed hunting and playing cards with his family. Clyde is survived by his wife of 71 years Ruth Burton; children, Melissa King, Vanessa Caudill, Melinda McKibben (Buck); grandchildren, Heather De Jesus, David Caudill, Todd Burton, Brock McKibben, Landon McKibben, and Derek Caudill; eight great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Blaine Burton; his siblings, Robert Paul Burton, Herndon Calvin Burton, and Fleeta Mae Schuyler. Graveside services will be held at Byron Cemetery, 3256 Trebein Rd. Fairborn, Ohio, at 11 am, Wednesday, June 12, 2024. with military honors.
