Charlotte Evelyn Bourelle

Charlotte Evelyn Bourelle , 93, of New Carlisle, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 10, 2022. She was born April 26, 1929, in Morgan County, KY, the daughter of the late Elvis Oakley and Olene Lewis Oakley. As a young woman, Charlotte worked at Wright Field in the officer’s diner and later in downtown Dayton at Rike’s. In the late sixties and seventies, Charlotte and her husband, Bud, owned and operated Torok Kennels and Groom Shop in North Dayton. Charlotte was an avid bowler who also loved sewing and cooking for her family. She was a competitive card player. Countless hours were spent fishing on the Redington Long Pier across from the family beach house in Redington Shores, FL. Charlotte is preceded in death by a lot of people (Remember she was 93) her parents; husband of 52 years Marvin “Bud” Bourelle; brother Hershel Oakley; and sisters Novella Shropshire and Anne Hemmelgarn. She is survived by her children Renee (Ed) Willoughby, Marvin (Dawn) Bourelle and David (Cindy) Bourelle; sister Alice (John) James: sister-in-law Evelyn Oakley; grandchildren Bryan Dunn, Jason (Tracey) Willoughby, Kyle (Alison) Bourelle, Zachary (Katherine) Bourelle, Tyler Bourelle, Lucas Bourelle, Jacob Bourelle, and Allison Bourelle; great-grandchildren Trestan, Brendan, Lane, Charlotte, Penelope, Frances, Zane, and Nash; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2022, from 5-7 pm at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar, & Fraley Funeral Home in New Carlisle, OH. The funeral service to honor Charlotte will be held Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Sulphur Grove United Methodist Church in Huber Heights, OH.  or the charity of your choice.
