Charles R. Ryan

Charles "Chuck" Robert Ryan, Sr., 64, of Springfield, OH passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017 in his home. He was born June 30, 1952 in Montgomery County to the late Charles and Thelma (Allbaugh) Ryan. Chuck served in the United States Navy and worked as an electronics technician. He graduated from Clark State with degrees in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. Before his decline in health, he was an avid guitarist and loved to build dioramas and model cars. Chuck is survived by his wife of twenty-nine years Susan (Smith) Ryan of Springfield; sons Charles (Jacci) Ryan of Enon, James (Sarah) Ryan of Fairborn, Ashley Paul (Amy) Dotson-St. James of Paulsbo, WA; daughters Heidi Dotson of West Carrollton and Grace Dotson of Springfield; grandchildren Ashley (James) Williams, Corey Campbell, Tatum Price, Jennifer (Josh) Wagner, Cortnie (Matt) Taylor, Scott (Stephanie) Ricketts,Derek (Chelsie) Ricketts, Cameo (Bryan) Wilson, Caity Rowe, Deryk (Allison) Wilson, Briana (Raphael) Fernandez, Trinity Ryan, Tyler Ryan, Madison Ryan, Aralyn Ryan and Amelia Dotson-St. James Phillips; thirteen great grandchildren; brothers Joe and Mike Ryan; sisters Rosa Lee Yount and Kay (Jessie) Denlinger; sister-in-law Shelia (Bruce) Lile and brother-in-law Michael (Linda) Smith; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 PM. in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. The service to honor Chuck’s life will be Friday at 11:00 AM. in the Memorial Home with Rev.
