Charles L. "Chuck" Evans

On September 17, 2016, Charles L. "Chuck" Evans was joyfully embraced by his Savior, Jesus entering heaven and eternal glory! He was welcomed home by his parents, John and Martha (Shaw) Evans and beloved sister Alice Collier, who preceded him in death to eternal life. Born April 6, 1946, Chuck lived in Springfield for his entire life. His work included assisting and caring for men and women in Clark and Champaign counties with mental and physical challenges. Chuck counted them as well as their families among his dearest friends. Throughout his life, Chuck faithfully shared with everyone he met, near and far, the redeeming love of Jesus. He adored his family, sons Andy and Anthony (Angela) and their mother, Judy Evans, his five grandchildren and four great-­grandchildren, his wife, Nancy Evans, daughters Amy (Joe) Gibson and their four children, Julie (Travis) Trice and their five children. Our families rejoice together in Thanking God for His faithfulness and eternal love for us all. "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty who was and is and is to come!" Revelation 4:8. The family wishes to express their deep gratitude to the staff, nurses and aides at Essex of Springfield as well as the compassionate staff of Crossroads Hospice in Franklin. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. followed by a celebration of Chuck's life at 11:00 a.m. in the Clifton Avenue Church of God, 1408 Clifton Avenue, Springfield, Ohio with Pastor David Cotto officiating. Interment to follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
