Cecil James Chatfield

Cecil J. Chatfield, Sr., 81, of Park Layne passed away Thursday, June 9, 2016. He was born October 7, 1934 in Hanging Rock, OH, the son of Hugh and Gertrude Chatfield. Cecil was a member of New Carlisle Blue Lodge #100 F&AM. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Cecil is preceded in death by his parents and brothers Pete, Bob and Larry. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Margaret; a son Jim (Sandy) Chatfield; daughter Jayne (Mike) Koontz; sister Linda Long; special great-granddaughter Madison Wilkins; numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and others that called him Papaw of Park Layne. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7 PM in the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME. Masonic services to honor Cecil will begin at 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
