Bonnie E. Stewart

Bonnie E. Carter-Stewart, 58, of Springfield passed away Saturday, July 9, 2016. She was born August 24, 1957 in Silver Spring, MD the daughter of Oscar and Helen E. (Oden) Carter. Bonnie is survived by her large and loving family and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. Raised in Silver Spring and College Park, Maryland, Bonnie was a free spirit with the heart of a gypsy. She enjoyed discovering new places in her travels and during her lifetime, she lived in Maryland, Arizona, California, and Ohio. Bonnie is being missed and remembered by her family, mother Helen and sister Nancy of Frederick, Maryland; sister Pallie and her husband Dave, of Frederick, Maryland; sister Vickie of North Carolina; sister Joyce and her partner Gary, of Laurel, Maryland; brother Oscar and his wife Marie, of St. Augustine, Florida; brother Joe and his wife Stacy of Upper Marlboro, Maryland. During her time in Ohio, she married and remained close with her now ex-husband James Stewart and his family. She had many friends in Ohio and was respected and loved during her career, working atMiller Textiles and retiring from Tech II.In addition to her mother and siblings, she is also survived byseveral nieces and nephews who will miss Aunt Bonnie's infectious laugh, understanding nature and indomitable spirit. Bonnie was preceded in death by her equally charismatic father, Oscar Wilson Carter.A celebration of life service will scheduled be at the family’s convenience.Arrangements have been entrusted to RICHARDS, RAFF &DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME.
