Blair M. Brown

Blair M. Brown, 92, of Moorefield Township, Ohio passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015 in Springfield. He was born April 19, 1923 at New Brunswick, Canada the son of the late Donald & Helen (Boyd) Brown. He was a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran of WWII and retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base. At the time of his retirement he was presented the citation of Meritorious Civilian Service by the United States Air Force. Blair and his family were members of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in New Carlisle from 1952 to the present. He was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus and served as Grand Knight for K of C Council 6144. He is survived his children, Thomas (Marian), William (Jana), Michael (Ann), Patrick (Joyce), Gregory (Maria); thirteen grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Stella Brown. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Visitation 10-10:50 AM Wednesday with Mass of Christian burial at 11 AM in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Carlisle, with Father Hummel officiating. Burial will be in Enon Cemetery.
