Betty Jean Vaughn

80, of New Carlisle, Ohio went to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 25, 2022. She was born May 5, 1941, in Dayton, Ohio the daughter of the late James & Thelma Boling. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, New Carlisle and was beloved by all who knew her. Betty was an avid reader, a connoisseur of word search puzzles and sewing, and quite the social butterfly. She truly never met a stranger and devoted her life to serving others. She spent many years as an Aide at Belle Manor, was a caregiver for both her children and then grandchildren and even spent some time as a Bob Evans waitress. Betty truly thrived in these environments and impacted the lives of many for the better. In recent years, she had become a real sports lover. Spending her days watching the Reds, Buckeyes or Bengals play in between her frequent calls with family and friends. She will be gratefully remembered for many reasons but a few being her ability to love deeply, forgive quickly and for always seeing the best in people. To put it simply, Betty loved well and was well loved. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Lowell and survived by her two daughters, Valerie (Chris) Lefeld, Tricia Vaughn; three grandchildren, Shelby, Austyn (Kiley) & Logan McFadden; four great grandsons, Oliver, Kevin, Keenan and Miles; sisters, Linda (Tim) Dunlevy, Barbara Bunn; other relatives and friends. Visitation will be 10-11 AM, Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home. Funeral services to follow at 11AM. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
