Betty Lou Locher

Betty L. Locher, age 91, passed away peacefully on the 21st of January 2025.  She was born on June 29th, 1933, in Pike County, Ohio, to the late Purly and William Horn. Following retirement, Betty enjoyed spending time traveling with her children and grandchildren and being with friends at the YMCA and the Library in Springfield, Ohio.

Betty lived a long and happy life and was preceeded in death by her loving husband Ben; her sister, Doris Kennon; and her brothers: Morris, Bill, and Paul Horn. Betty is survived by her son, Todd (Jade) Locher; daughter, Beni (David) Helton; grandchildren: Lone, Yon, Chaiyo, Voth (Hami) Locher, Johnathan Helton; and great grandchildren: Nathan and Logan Helton.

Betty will be missed by many and always remembered for her laugh.  A gathering will be held at Rose Hill Burial Park on Friday January 24th at 10:00 am followed by her burial.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Betty’s name (on-line or in person) to the Springfield Family YMCA or the Clark County Public Library, Springfield, OH.
