BRUMFIELD, Bertha L. 98, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2015. She was born in Springfield on May 15, 1917, the daughter of Daniel M. and Elsie E. (Rosskopf) Bruney. Bertha was a local Realtor for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband John C. Brumfield; a daughter Sondra J. Powell; son-in-law Ronald M. Powell; brothers Mars and Jeremiah Bruney; a grandson Danny M. Powell; and a great-grandson Terry E. Powell. Bertha is survived by her sister Eva Fry; grandchildren Rhonda Parker, Jeffrey Powell and Douglas Powell; great-grandchildren Mandy Penhorwood, Brittany Parker and Cory Parker; special family member Donna Powell; several great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. A service to honor Bertha's life will be Saturday at 10:00 AM in the Burkhart Auditorium at the Ohio Masonic Home. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM in the Auditorium. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ohio Masonic Home Endowment Fund. Arrangements have been entrusted to the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME.
