Ben Earl Cooper

Ben Earl Cooper, 76, of New Carlisle, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022. He was born July 29, 1946 in Pennington Gap, Virginia, the son of the late Ezra and Nell Cooper. Ben served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He later worked as a millwright, was a member of Local 1066 Carpenters and Joiners Union and was a life member of the VFW. Ben is preceded in death by his wife of 46 years Mary Ann Cooper; brothers Jeff Cooper and Don (Shirldine) Cooper; and sister Betty Alexander. He is survived by his son Joshua (Megan) Coomer; grandchildren Dustin, Paul Alan, Xander, Amira, Zoe and Heidi; great-grandchildren Levi, Noah and Roman; brothers H.L. (Joan) Cooper, Dexter (Sheila) Cooper and Charles (Kenetha) Cooper; brother-in-law Steve Alexander; sister-in-law Tamara Cooper; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 19, 2022, from 10am-11am, with the service to honor Ben beginning at 11:00am at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home.
