Barry A. Theiss

Barry Alan Theiss, age 66, passed away peacefully in his home in New Carlisle, OH on Saturday, November 12, 2022. Barry was born on July 14th, 1956 in Gallipolis, Ohio to Roger and Betty Theiss. He graduated from Southern Local High School in Racine, Ohio in 1974. Barry enlisted into the U.S. Air Force in 1977 and worked in aircraft maintenance as an armament systems specialist. In 1987, while stationed at Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea, he met his wife. After his retirement from the Air Force in 1994, he worked as a CDL truck driver, as he had a love for travel. Barry enjoyed camping, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends. Barry is preceded in death by his parents Roger and Betty Theiss. He is survived by his wife, Chong Theiss; children: Stacey Theiss (Lewis) Hilton, Matthew Theiss, Elizabeth Theiss (Zach Hughes), Sierra (Bill) Lightner; grandchildren: Tristan Theiss, Hayley Hilton Theiss, Natalie Jackson, Vince Theiss, Clayton Lightner, Clinton Lightner, Elijah Hughes, and Noah Hughes; great grandchild: Sagelynn Theiss; sisters: Beth (Bub) Shaver, and Barb (Tom) McClain; and pet dog: Buddy Theiss, along with many loved cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. A visitation will be held November 22, 2022 at 11am followed by funeral services at 12pm at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar and Fraley Funeral Home in New Carlisle, Ohio, then followed by a burial ceremony at New Carlisle Cemetery.
