Myers, Barrett Logan, 81 of South Charleston passed away August 30, 2017 in his residence. He was born in Hilliard, Ohio on April 19, 1936, the son of Logan and Thelma Myers.Upon graduation from Hilliard High School, Barrett served in the US Air Force from 1954 through 1958 where he attained the rank of Sergeant. After his honorable discharge from the Air Force, he attended the University of Arkansas earning a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and later an MBA from The Ohio State University. Barrett was the founder and President of Sytronics, Inc. in Beavercreek, Ohio and was also co-founder of the Dayton Area Defense Contractor’s Association. In all this, he found time to pursue a long held passion for farming. He was also a past member and deacon of the First United Methodist Church. Barrett was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Judith Ann Myers and son Kenneth Ray Myers. Survivors include his wife Carla Eilene Myers, whom he married December 12, 1970; children David Myers, Scott (Christine) Myers, Sonja (Steve) Johannes Steven (Debra) Myers and Chris Myers; sister Karen Staehle; grandchildren Shaun and Scott Johannes; Lauren, Allison, Keith Myers; Jacob, Emily, Julie, Daniel and Jennifer Myers and Ford Myers; several nieces and nephews. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 7-9PM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Hilliard, Ohio. Memorial contributions are requested to Honor Flight, Inc., Attn: Diane Gresse 175 South Tuttle Road Springfield, OH 45505.
