Alberta Mae Justice

Alberta M. Justice, 92 of Springfield passed away Monday, June 13, 2016 in the Forest Glen Health Campus. She was born in Hillsboro, Ohio on April 10, 1924, the daughter of William M. and Bertha M. (Chaney) Mercer. Prior to starting her family Alberta worked for Woolworth's and Robbins & Myers. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, reading and traveling around the U.S. and Canada with her husband Herman. Alberta was preceded in death by her parents; husband Herman on November 16, 2015; daughter Arlene Crutchfield; sister Daisy Forshey; brother Wesley Mercer; daughter-in-law Jane Justice; and granddaughter Sara Beth Justice. Survivors include her daughters Mary (Edward) Shoemaker and Tonia (Mac) Whitt; sons Avarille (NormaJean) Justice and Duane Justice; son-in-law Herman Crutchfield, Jr.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins. A service to honor Alberta will be Friday at 11:30 AM. in the chapel of Rose Hill Burial Park with a gathering at 11:00AM. Rev. Rick Clos will officiate.
