James J. Heath, 84, of North Hampton, OH passed away Thursday, February 23, 2017 in his home, after battling cancer. He was born September 24, 1932 in West Plains, MO the son of Francis W. and Lyda Mae (Heselton) Heath. Mr. Heath served in the United States Army during the Korean War and worked for Navistar-International at the Fort Wayne, IN plant. Jim transferred to the Springfield plant in 1984, and became an active member of the First Christian Church, participating in several mission trips. He enjoyed traveling in the U.S. and abroad, and was a true craftsman working with his hands and remodeling houses. Jim also participated in Honor Flight. He is survived by his wife of fifteen years, Jan Loges Heath; six children Rita (Steve) Anderson of Peru, IN, Dennis J. (Mary C.) Heath of Noblesville, IN, Susan A. (Tom) Karst of Huntington, IN, Andrew J. Loges of Vandalia, OH, Matt (Anthony Ehresmann) Loges of Englewood, OH, and Jennifer L. (Eric) Davis of North Hampton; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of forty-three years Hazel P. (Huckabee) Heath in 1999, and a son Mark Loges. Visitation will be held in First Christian Church on Monday from 4-8 PM. and for one hour prior to the service. The service to honor Jim’s life will be Tuesday at 1:00 PM. in the church with Craig Grammer officiating. Interment will be in Spotts Cemetery, Cave City, Arkansas. The family is being served by RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME.
